Why every weekend should be four days. :D

Every weekend should be four days.  If things were like that, there would be a good balance between school time, and leisure time for us teens.  4 days of “play”, followed by three  days of extensive learning.  I’d be perfectly fine with that.  In 4 days, you can do a very large amount of things,  In one day, I fit all my gaming, and went bowling last weekend.  With three days of instructional time, you can also get quite a lot done, there’s enough time for both day’s A and B, and school could simply be one hour longer.

What I think of Google SketchUp

I like this program.  It’s easy to use, and you can make lots of cool things.  The tools for panning the view, and moving around aren’t very good, those could be better.  I also wonder if there’s a way to import it into game making programs to use them as a 3D model.

My Powerpoint Presentation

Personally, I thought my presentaion was rather good.  I don’t usually like to use Powerpoint, but I guess it could be useful at some point.  I had fun editing some of the pictures for this, I did that in photoshop.  When I was presenting it to the class, I think I should’ve said a few things that I didn’t end up saying.  Overall, I believe I did good on this, I’m proud of it. :D

What I learned in Excel.

Before, I actually hated Excel because I didn’t know how to use it.  Now, I know how to use it, and it’s really not that bad.  I learned how to create formulas and other charts, which would be actually quite useful.  I really think I’d be using this program in jobs I’d have in the future.

Overview of last week. :D

Last week was really interesting.  we did a few assignments using the program, Microsoft word.  We wrote a letter to the principle of the school, made a flyer on the subject of our choice, and we also wrote a resume.  I thought the resume was really hard.  The flyer and the letter were realitively difficult to do.  Even though the teacher gave extentions on two of the assignments, they were still difficult to complete, I believe I came through though.

Last week was only the beginning of the course, and I am really loooking forward to using the rest of the programs the class has to offer.  I hope using the other programs has been as fun as it’s been already, or even more fun!
